Description
Instructions on how to set up the different supported cloud storage in AhsayCBS.
Solution
In the following examples, we are demonstrating how to set up cloud storage in predefined destinations.
To add a predefined destination in System Settings > Basic > Predefined Destinations, click on the Add button.
Then follow the instructions for each predefined destination:
- Aliyun (阿里云)
- CTYun
- Amazon S3
- AWS S3 Compatible Cloud Storage
- Wasabi
- Backblaze
- Google Cloud Storage
- Google Drive
- Microsoft Azure
- OneDrive
- OneDrive for Business
- Rackspace
- OpenStack
- Dropbox
- FTP
- SFTP
Aliyun (阿里云)
This storage option is available on computers with China or Hong Kong locale settings.
- If you do not have an Aliyun (阿里云) account, please click the link Sign up for 阿里云 to create an account.
- Select 阿里云 from the "Destination Storage" dropdown box.
- Enter the name of the backup destination.
- Select Single storage destination.
- Enter the "Access Key ID".
- Enter the "Access Key Secret".
- Select the region from the dropdown box.
- Optional: Enter the bucket name.
- Optional: Click the Test button to connect to the storage. A message will be displayed regarding the connection status.
- Click Add then Save to save the predefined destination.
CTYun
This storage option is available on computers with China or Hong Kong locale settings.
- If you do not have a CTYun account, please click the link Sign up for CTYun to create an account.
- Select CTYun from the "Destination Storage" dropdown box.
- Enter the name of the backup destination.
- Select Single storage destination.
- Enter the "Access Key ID".
- Enter the "Secret Access Key".
- Select the region from the dropdown box.
- Optional: Click the Test button to connect to the storage. A message will be displayed regarding the connection status.
- Click Add then Save to save the predefined destination.
Amazon S3
- If you do not have an Amazon S3 account, please click the link Sign up for Amazon S3 to create an account.
- Select Amazon S3 from the "Destination Storage" dropdown box.
- Enter the name of the backup destination.
- Select Single storage destination.
- Select the "Location" from the dropdown box.
- Enter the "Access Key ID".
- Enter the "Secret Access Key".
- Select the "Storage Class" from the dropdown
- Optional: Enter the bucket name.
- Optional: Tick the "Immutable" checkbox.
- Optional: Click the Test button to connect to the storage. A message will be displayed regarding the connection status.
- Click Add then Save to save the predefined destination.
AWS S3 Compatible Cloud Storage
- Select AWS S3 Compatible Cloud Storage from the "Destination Storage" dropdown box.
- Enter the name of the backup destination.
- Select Single storage destination.
- Enter the host and port number.
- Enter the "Access Key ID".
- Enter the "Secret Access Key".
- Select the "Signature Version". If Signature Version 4 is selected, it is optional to enter the "Signature Region".
- Optional: Enter the bucket name.
- Optional: Tick the "Connect with SSL" checkbox if necessary.
- Optional: Tick the "Immutable" checkbox.
- Optional: Click the Test button to connect to the storage. A message will be displayed regarding the connection status.
- Click Add then Save to save the predefined destination.
Wasabi
- If you do not have a Wasabi account, please click the link Sign up for Wasabi to create an account.
- Select Wasabi from the "Destination Storage" dropdown box.
- Enter the name of the backup destination.
- Select Single storage destination.
- Enter the "Access Key ID".
- Enter the "Access Key Secret".
- Select the region from the dropdown box.
- Optional: Enter the bucket name.
- Optional: Tick the "Connect with SSL" checkbox if necessary.
- Optional: Tick the "Immutable" checkbox.
- Optional: Click the Test button to connect to the storage. A message will be displayed regarding the connection status.
- Click Add then Save to save the predefined destination.
Backblaze
- If you do not have a Backblaze account, please click the link Sign up for Backblaze to create an account.
- Select Backblaze from the "Destination Storage" dropdown box.
- Enter the name of the backup destination.
- Select Single storage destination.
- Enter the "Key ID".
- Enter the "Application Key".
- Optional: Enter the bucket name.
- Optional: Tick the "Immutable" checkbox.
- Optional: Click the Test button to connect to the storage. A message will be displayed regarding the connection status.
- Click Add then Save to save the predefined destination.
Google Cloud Storage
Before you set up the storage for Google Cloud Storage, please create the Access Key and Secret key from your Google Cloud Storage account first. For more information on how to do this, please refer to the article: How can I create Access/Secret keys for Google Cloud Storage.
To be able to create an immutable Google Cloud Storage predefined destination, the service account of your cloud storage should not have delete permission then generate the user credentials.
- If you do not have a Google Cloud Storage account, please click the link Sign up for Google Cloud Storage to create an account.
- Select Google Cloud Storage from the "Destination Storage" dropdown box.
- Enter the name of the backup destination.
- Select Single storage destination.
- Enter the "Access Key".
- Enter the "Secret".
- Select the "Location Type" from the dropdown box.
- Select the "Location" from the dropdown box.
- Select the "Storage Class" from the dropdown box.
- Optional: Enter the bucket name.
- Optional: Tick the "Immutable" checkbox.
- Optional: Click the Test button to connect to the storage. A message will be displayed regarding the connection status.
- Click Add then Save to save the predefined destination.
Google Drive
- If you do not have a Google Drive account, please click the link Sign up for Google Drive to create an account.
- Select Google Drive from the "Destination Storage" dropdown box.
- Enter the name of the backup destination.
- Select Single storage destination.
- Click the Test button or Add to sign in to your Google Drive account.
- Allow signing in to your Google Drive account, Google will ask for your permission to access the storage, click on Allow.
- On the browser, a code is displayed, copy and paste into the "Authorization code" field in AhsayCBS.
- Click Add then Save to save the predefined destination.
Microsoft Azure
Before you set up the storage for Microsoft Azure, please collect the Storage Account Name and Access Key from your Microsoft Azure account first. For more instructions on how to do so please refer to this article: Manage storage account access keys.
To be able to create an immutable Microsoft Azure predefined destination, you must generate a Shared Access Signature Token (SAS token) with the following minimum setting:
- Allowed services: Blob
- Allowed resource types: Container and Object
- Allowed permissions: All except Delete and Pernanent Delete
- Expiry Date: at least 10 years from now
- Other settings keep as default

- Select Microsoft Azure from the "Destination Storage" dropdown box.
- Enter the name of the backup destination.
- Select Single storage destination.
- Enter the "Storage Account Name".
- Enter the "Access Key".
- Select the "Region".
- Optional: Enter the container name.
- Optional: Tick the "Immutable" checkbox. If ticked, enter the "Shared Access Signature Token".
- Optional: Click the Test button to connect to the storage. A message will be displayed regarding the connection status.
- Click Add then Save to save the predefined destination.
OneDrive
- If you do not have an account with OneDrive, please click the link Sign up for OneDrive to create an account.
- Select OneDrive from the "Destination Storage" dropdown box.
- Enter the name of the backup destination.
- Select Single storage destination.
- Click the Test button or Add to sign in to your OneDrive account.
- On the browser, a code is displayed, copy and paste into the "Authorization code" field in AhsayCBS.
- Click Add then Save to save the predefined destination.
OneDrive for Business
- If you do not have an account for OneDrive for Business, please click the link Sign up for OneDrive for Business to create an account.
- Select OneDrive for Business from the "Destination Storage" dropdown box.
- Enter the name of the backup destination.
- Select Single storage destination.
- Select "Region" from the dropdown box.
- Click the Test button or Add to sign in to your OneDrive for Business account.
- On the browser, a code is displayed, copy and paste into the "Authorization code" field in AhsayCBS.
- Click Add then Save to save the predefined destination.
Rackspace
- If you do not have a Rackspace account, please click the link Sign up for Rackspace to create an account.
- Select Rackspace from the "Destination Storage" dropdown box.
- Enter the name of the backup destination.
- Select Single storage destination.
- Enter the "Username".
- Enter the "API Key".
- Click the Test button or Add to continue the set up.
- Select the "Region" from the dropdown box.
- Click Add then Save to save the predefined destination.
OpenStack
- Select OpenStack from the "Destination Storage" dropdown box.
- Enter the name of the backup destination.
- Select Single storage destination.
- Enter the host and port number.
- Enter the username and password.
- Optional: Tick the "Connect with SSL" checkbox if necessary.
- Click the Test button or Add to continue the set up. The page will request to enter more information after the initial connection.
- Select the "Project" and "Region" from the dropdown box.
- Enter the container name.
- Click Add then Save to save the predefined destination.
Dropbox
- If you do not have a Dropbox account, please click the link Sign up for Dropbox to create an account.
- Select Dropbox from the "Destination Storage" dropdown box.
- Enter the name of the backup destination.
- Select Single storage destination.
- Click the Test button or Add to sign in to your Dropbox account.
- After signing in to your Dropbox account, Dropbox will ask for your permission to access the storage, click on Allow.
- On the browser, a code is displayed, copy and paste into the "Authorization code" field in AhsayCBS.
- Click Add then Save to save the predefined destination.
FTP
- Select FTP from the "Destination Storage" dropdown box.
- Enter the name of the backup destination.
- Select Single storage destination.
- Enter the host and port number.
- Enter the username and password.
- Optional: Enter the path of the FTP directory.
- Optional: Tick the "Connect with SSL" checkbox if necessary.
- Click the Test button to connect to the storage. A message will be displayed regarding the connection status.
- Click Add then Save to save the predefined destination.
SFTP
- Select SFTP from the "Destination Storage" dropdown box.
- Enter the name of the backup destination.
- Select Single storage destination.
- Enter the host and port number.
- Enter the username and password.
- Optional: Enter the path of the SFTP directory.
- Click the Test button to connect to the storage. A message will be displayed regarding the connection status.
- Click Add then Save to save the predefined destination.
