Backup all your MariaDB database servers using Ahsay for total protection. To ensure data consistency Ahsay uses the mysqldump utility to stream the backup data directly to the storage destination, without the need for a staging file simplifying the setup. Ahsay supports logical MariaDB backups for flexible recovery options, the backup data can be used to recover the database on different MariaDB versions and or operating systems for total peace of mind.
Please use the following steps to backup MariaDB databases using AhsayOBM.
- On your desktop, click the AhsayOBM icon.
- Once you're on the AhsayOBM login page, enter your credentials to access your account. Then, click [OK].
- From the AhsayOBM home screen, select [Backup Sets].
- Click the [+] sign to create a new backup set.
- Rename the file backup set or use the default name provided.
- Change the backup set type to MariaDB Backup.
- Enter the Login ID and Password.
- Keep the Host and Port on default. Unless your MariaDB database utilizes an alternate port, adjust the value accordingly.
- Enter the path for mysqldump.
- Click [Next] to continue.
- Select the databases that you aim to backup, then click [Next].
- Turn on scheduled backup.
- Click the [+] sign to create a new backup schedule.
- Enable Run Retention Policy after backup. Click [OK], then [Next] to proceed.
- Select Concurrent as backup mode
- Leave the maximum concurrent backup destinations on default.
- Then click the [+] sign to add a new storage destination. Ahsay Drive is selected by default.
- Click [OK].
- Click [Add] to add another destination, then select a local destination.
- Click [Next].
- Keep the default setting for Encryption. Click [Save].
- Keep a copy of your encryption key. Click [Confirm].
- For Windows User Authentication, enter your Windows password to provide AhsayOBM permissions to access various components on the selected local destination.
- Click [Next].
- You now have the option to backup your files by clicking [Backup Now].
- Or click [Close] and wait for AhsayOBM to backup your files on the schedule you set it on.
