An Ahsay backup of your cloud data, gives you total protection against data loss. Ahsay provider you with tools you need to quickly locate and recover your critical data from; a cloud service failure, accidental data deletion, malicious employees, data corruption, ransomware, or hackers.
Please use the following steps and tips to make cloud file recovery fast and efficient using AhsayOBM.
How to:
- From the AhsayOBM home screen, click [Restore].
- Select the backup set containing files/folders you want to restore.
- Check the Temporary Directory.
- Ensure the following:
- Directory is not set to the same drive where Windows OS is installed
- Directory is not set to a network drive as it may affect the restore performance
- Ensure the following:
- Select where to restore your data from.
- It is recommended to select a local destination, if applicable.
- Select what to restore: Choose from files as of job or Choose from ALL files.
- Default selection is Choose from files as of job with the latest version. You may select a specific version by clicking the menus next to it.
- Select the files/folders you aim to recover.
- Click Next.
- Select where to restore files to: Local Computer, Original Location, or Alternate Location
- Check the advanced option and configure, if preferred.
- Click Restore.

Recover files during a system outage

- Select what to restore. You may select a previous version, choose from all files, or keep the default selection which is the latest version.
- Select files/folders to recover.
- Enable Restore to Local Computer which can be found at the bottom-left.
- Click [Next].
- Clik [Browse]. Select a local drive, then click [OK].
- Check the advanced option and configure, if preferred.
- Click Restore.

Recover files that are accidentally deleted/corrupted due to ransomware/hackers

- Select what to restore. You may select a previous version, choose from all files, or keep the default selection which is the latest version.
- Select files/folders to recover.
- Click [Next].
- Select Original Location.
- Check the advanced option and configure, if preferred.
- Click Restore.

Recover files when uncertain which version to restore

- Select Choose from ALL files.
- Locate the files you'd like to restore. Select all of its versions.
- Click Next.
- Select Alternate Location.
- Click Change. Select another directory.
- Click OK.
- Click Restore.
- After restore, open the alternate location. You may now check the files individually to see which of the files contain the information you need.

Recover files using Search
- The Search can be applied to every folder/subfolder on your backup data. Use this feature to save time locating files in case you have no idea where to locate the data to be restored.

- Select what to restore. You may select a previous version, choose from all files, or keep the default selection which is the latest version.
- Click [Search] at the bottom-left part of the page.
- Click [Change] then select the root of the backup server.
- Click OK.
- Keep the Search subfolders feature enabled to ensure searching will check through all the directories and subdirectories on the selected backup data.
- Select what kind of data to search for: Files, Directories, or both.
- Specify the criterion: contains, exact, starts with, or ends with.
- Enter the pattern.
- Enable Match Case only if you want to make the search case-sentive.
- Click [Search].
- When pattern matches other files, the results will be ordered alphabetically according to the location.
- Files are ordered from the latest version down to the earliest version.
- Select the files/folders to restore.
- Click [OK], then [Next].
- Select where to restore the files to.
- Click Restore.
