How to backup files on a Synology NAS using AhsayOBM?

Don't rely on your NAS RAID storage system to protect your data. Only an Ahsay backup of your NAS data to the cloud can protect your data against serious hardware failure, sabotage, natural disasters, Synology firmware bugs, ransomware, or hackers.

Please use the following steps to backup files using AhsayOBM on a Synology NAS device.

1. On your Synology NAS desktop, click the AhsayOBM icon.
2. Once you're on the AhsayOBM login page, enter your credentials to access your account. Then, click [OK].
3. From the AhsayOBM home screen, select [Backup Sets].
4. Click the [+] sign to create a new backup set.
5. Rename the file backup set or use the default name provided. Then, click [Next].
6. Unselect the default selection for backup source. Click [I would like to choose the files to backup] and select the files and/or folders you aim to backup. Click [OK], then [Next] to continue.
7. Click the [+] sign to create a new backup schedule.
8. Enable Run Retention Policy after backup. Click [OK], then [Next] to proceed.
9. Select a backup mode, then click the [+] to add a new storage destination
10. Keep the default setting for Encryption.Click [Save].
11. Keep a copy of your encryption key.
12. Click [Confirm].
13. You now have the option to backup your files by clicking [Backup now].
14. Or click [Close] and wait for AhsayOBM to backup your files on the schedule you set it on.
