Use the following steps to recover your files on Linux GUI using Ahsay Online Backup Restore.

EXE Online Installation

  1. From the download page of your AhsayCBS web management console, go the Restore tab.
  2. In the Linux / FreeBSD / Solaris section, click SH online installer to download.
  3. Click Save File, then OK.
  4. Open Terminal.
  5. Use the "su" command to enter as root: su
  6. Enter the password.
  7. Use the "cd" command to go to the directory path of the downloaded online installation package: cd /home/ahsay/Downloads
  8. Use the "ls -la" command to confirm if the online installer file was downloaded: ls -la
  9. Use the "sh" command to run the script of the downloaded online installer: sh obr-linux.sh
  10. After a successful installation, AhsayOBR will launch automatically.

TAR GZ Offline Installer

  1. From the download page of your AhsayCBS web management console, go the Restore tab.
  2. In the Linux / FreeBSD / Solaris section, click TAR GZ offline installer to download.
  3. Click Save File, then OK.
  4. Open Terminal.
  5. Use the "su" command to enter as root: su
  6. Enter the password.
  7. Use the "cd" command to go to the directory path of the downloaded offline installation package: cd /home/ahsay/Downloads
  8. Use the "ls -la" command to confirm if the offline installer file was downloaded: ls -la
  9. Use the "tar" command to extract the installation package: tar xvfz obr-linux.tar.gz
  10. Use the "ls -la" command to check the extracted package: ls -la
  11. Use the "sh" command to run the obr-linux script: sh obr-linux.sh
  12. After a successful installation, AhsayOBR will launch automatically.

  1. Before logging in, click Show Advanced Option first and configure the network settings, if needed.
  2. Enter your credentials to login.
  3. Select a backup set.
  4. Select where restore your data from.
  5. Check the temporary directory and configure if needed.
  6. Click Next.
  7. To proceed, enter the encryption key of the selected backup set.
  8. Select what to restore: Choose from files as of job and select a particular verison or Choose from ALL files
  9. Select the files and/or folders you aim to restore
  10. Click Next.
  11. Select where to store the files to: Original or Alternate location
  12. Click Show Advanced Option and keep the settings on default.
  13. Click Restore to cotinue.
  14. To check the restore data, open the selected restore destination.
