Please use the following steps to backup Oracle Databases using AhsayOBM.
- Launch AhsayOBM.
- On the AhsayOBM login screen, enter your login credentials and click [OK] to continue.
- Click the Backup Sets tile.
- Click the + icon to create a new backup set.
- Enter the name of your new backup set then select Oracle Database Server Backup as the backup set type.
- Enter the Oracle Login ID and it's corresponding password.
- Enter the Oracle host address.
The default host address is 127.0.0.1 - Enter the Oracle port number.
The default port number is 1521 - Enter the SID. Click [Next] to proceed.
- Select the databases to back up. Click [Next] to continue.
- To enable a full Oracle database recovery, all system databases including SYSAUX, SYSTEM, UNDOTBS1, UNDO, USERS, and all related application databases except for TEMP
- If the TEMP database is selected in the backup source, AhsayOBM will automatically skip it during the backup job.
- Create an automatic backup schedule. Click the + icon to create either a Database or Archive Log backup schedule. Click [Next] to continue.
Enable "Run Retention Policy after backup" when creating a backup schedule. - Click the + icon to add a storage destination. Click [Next] to continue.
- Use the default setting for Encryption. Click [Next] to continue.
- Secure the encryption key and keep it in a safe place. Click [Confirm] to continue.
- Click [Backup] to start a backup job.
