Use the steps provided below to restore your files on Windows using Ahsay Online Backup Restore.

EXE Online Installation

  1. From the download page of your AhsayCBS web management console, go the Restore tab.
  2. In the Windows section, click EXE online installer to download.
  3. Launch the downloaded installation package.
  4. After installation, AhsayOBR will launch automatically.

ZIP Offline Installer

  1. From the download page of your AhsayCBS web management console, go the Restore tab.
  2. In the Windows section, click ZIP offline installer to download.
  3. Show in folder the downloaded offline installation package.
  4. Right-click on the ZIP folder and click Extract All.
  5. Select a destination where to store the extracted folder.
  6. Click Extract.
  7. After extraction, open the extracted folder and double-click on the "obr-win.exe" file to proceed with the installation.
  8. After installation, AhsayOBR will launch automatically.

  1. Before logging in, click Show Advanced Option first and configure the network settings, if needed.
  2. Enter your credentials to login.
  3. Select a backup set.
  4. Select where restore your data from.
  5. Select a restore mode: Normal Restore or OpenDirect Restore.
    • Select Normal Restore.
    • Check the temporary directory and configure if needed.
    • Click Next.
    • Enter the encryption key of the selected backup set.
    • Choose what to restore: Choose from files as of job and select a particular version or Choose from ALL files
    • Select the files/folders to recover.
    • Click Next.
    • Select where to restore your data: Original or Alternate location
    • Click Show Advanced Option and configure as desired.
    • Click Restore.
  • Select OpenDirect mode.
  • Select a backup version to restore.
  • Check the temporary directory and configure if needed.
  • Click Next.
  • A message will prompt, "Virtual File System Drive - Driver is not installed". Click Install.
  • Choose a drive letter, then OK.
  • Click Browse. You will be redirected to the virtual drive.
  • Open the "E_" folder. All the files and/or folders from the selected version of the backup set will be available. You may open each folder and files to check its content.
  • To restore them, simply drag & drop or copy & paste the files/folders to your desired destination.
