Please use the following steps to restore your files using AhsayOBM.
- Before starting to restore, make sure to disable the backup schedule and/or increase the retention policy.
- From the AhsayOBM home screen, click Restore.
- Select the backup set.
- Before selecting where to restore your data from, click [Show Advanced Option] to check and ensure that temporary directory is not located on the same drive where the Windows OS is installed.
- After checking the temporary directory, it is recommended to select the local destination to restore your data from, if applicable, to reduce recovery time.
- Select what to restore:
- Choose from files as of job to specify the date and time of the backup version.
- Choose from ALL files to show all the backup versions.
- You have the option to utilize either Filter or Search.
- When using Filter:
- Select the drive/folder where you want the filter to be applied to.
- Select the drop-down menu for Type and choose your preferred option.
- Enter the pattern you want to be used for your filter.
- Enabling Match Case is optional.
- Select Apply.
- Select the file/s you aim to restore.
- When using Search:
- Click Change.
- Select the root drive, then click [OK].
- You have the option to enable/disable the "Search subfolders" feature.
- Choose which type of searching will be applied.
- Enter the pattern you want to be used for searching.
- Enabling Match Case is optional.
- Click [Search].
- Select the files you aim to restore.
- Click [OK].
- Click [Next].
- Select where to restore your files to.
- Click [Show Advanced Option] to check if you want to some settings to be configured.
- Click [Restore].
- When AhsayOBM detects that an identical file exists on the location you intend to restore your files to during the restoration process, you will be asked to select an action. Choose among the suggested actions then click [Continue].
- Wait for your files to be successfully restored.
- After restore, check the location where you stored the recovered files to see if the selected files have been successfully restored.
