Please use the following steps to backup PostgreSQL databases using AhsayOBM.

  1. On your desktop, click the AhsayOBM icon.
  2. Once you're on the AhsayOBM login page, enter your credentials to access your account. Then, click [OK].
  3. From the AhsayOBM home screen, select [Backup Sets].
  4. Click the [+] sign to create a new backup set.
  5. Rename the file backup set or use the default name provided.
  6. Change the backup set type to PostgreSQL Backup.
  7. Enter the login ID and password.
  8. Keep the Host and Port on default. Unless your PostgreSQL database instance is setup using a different port, adjust the value accordingly.
  9. Enter the path for pg_dump.
  10. Click [Next] to continue.
  11. Select the databases that you aim to backup, then click [Next].
  12. Turn on scheduled backup.
  13. Click the [+] sign to create a new backup schedule.
  14. Click [OK], then [Next] to proceed.
  15. Select Concurrent as backup mode
  16. Leave the maximum concurrent backup destinations on default.
  17. Then click the [+] sign to add a new storage destination. Ahsay Drive is selected by default.
  18. Click [OK].
  19. Click [Add] to add another destination, then select a local/network destination.
  20. Click [Next].
  21. Keep the default setting for Encryption. Click [Save].
  22. Keep a copy of your encryption key. Click [Confirm].
  23. For Windows User Authentication, enter your Windows password to provide AhsayOBM permission to access various components on the selected local/network destination.
  24. Click [Next].
  25. You now have the option to backup your database files by clicking [Backup Now].
  26. Or click [Close] and wait for AhsayOBM to backup your database files on the schedule you set it on.
