To create a file backup to Seagate Lyve Cloud using AhsayOBM, follow the steps below
- Go to AhsayOBM. From the home screen, select Backup Sets.
- Click the + button to create a new backup set.
- Rename the backup set or use the default name provided, then click Next to proceed.
- For Backup Source, “My Documents” is selected by default. If you intend to backup other files or folders, you can unselect this and click I would like to choose the files to backup. Select the files or folders you aim to backup, then click OK, then Next.
- Use the default schedule or create a new one, then click Next again.
- For the Destination, leave the “Backup Mode” with “Sequential”, then click the + button.
- Click the drop-down menu for “Destination Storage”, then select the AWS S3 Compatible Cloud Storage.
- Rename the destination storage.
- Enter the “Host” and “Port”, as well as the “Access Key ID” and “Secret Access Key”.
- Select a Signature Version.
- Enter Signature Region, if applicable.
- Enter the bucket name (Make sure the bucket has already been created).
- Enable connection with SSL/TLS.
- Click OK.
- AhsayOBM will test its access to the destination storage which is to your Seagate Lyve Cloud account.
- Then, click Next.
- Same goes for Encryption. Click Next.
- Make sure that you keep a copy of your encryption key before clicking Confirm.
- Now, you have successfully created your backup set, which means you can now start backing up your files to your Seagate Lyve Cloud account. Click Backup Now.
