Ahsay backup provides full protection for all your Tibero database servers on Windows and Linux platforms. When your databases are backed up with Ahsay using the latest data protection technologies; Immutable backups, AES 256-bit data encryption, Two-factor authentication, multi-destination backups, and Restore Drill. A complete recovery is guaranteed in case of disaster.

Please use the following steps to backup Tibero Databases using AhsayOBM.

  1. Launch AhsayOBM.
  2. On the AhsayOBM login screen, enter your login credentials and click [OK] to continue.
  3. Click the Backup Sets tile.
  4. Click the + icon to create a new backup set.
  5. Enter the name of your new backup set then select Tibero Database Server Backup as the backup set type.
  6. Input the home path of the Tibero instance in the Tibero Home section.
  7. Enter the corresponding Login ID and password.
  8. Use the default host address ( 127.0.0.1).
  9. The default port number is 8629. Click [Next] to continue.
    If your Tibero instance is setup with a different port number, adjust the value accordingly.
  10. Select the databases you would like to backup as the backup source. Click [Next] to continue.
    * To enable full Tibero database recovery, include SYSTEM, TBS1, UNDO, USR and all related application databases in the backup source except for TEMP.
    ** In case the TEMP database is selected in the backup source, AhsayOBM will automatically skip it during the backup job.
  11. Create an automatic backup schedule. Click the + icon to create a database and archive log backup schedule. Click [Next] to continue.
    Enable "Run Retention Policy after backup" when creating a backup schedule.
  12. Click the + icon to add a storage destination. Click [Next] to continue.
  13. Use the default setting for Encryption. Click [Next] to continue.
  14. Secure the encryption key and keep it in a safe place. Click [Confirm] to continue.
  15. Click [Backup now] to start a backup job or click [Close] to exit.
    The automatic backup will start at the schedule set in step 11.
