To create a file backup to Seagate Lyve Cloud using AhsayOBM, follow the steps below

  1. Go to AhsayOBM. From the home screen, select Backup Sets.
  2. Click the + button to create a new backup set.
  3. Rename the backup set or use the default name provided, then click Next to proceed.
  4. For Backup Source, “My Documents” is selected by default. If you intend to backup other files or folders, you can unselect this and click I would like to choose the files to backup. Select the files or folders you aim to backup, then click OK, then Next.
  5. Use the default schedule or create a new one, then click Next again.
  6. For the Destination, leave the “Backup Mode” with “Sequential”, then click the + button.
  7. Click the drop-down menu for “Destination Storage”, then select the AWS S3 Compatible Cloud Storage.
  8. Rename the destination storage.
  9. Enter the “Host” and “Port”, as well as the “Access Key ID” and “Secret Access Key”.
  10. Select a Signature Version.
    • Enter Signature Region, if applicable.
  11. Enter the bucket name (Make sure the bucket has already been created).
  12. Enable connection with SSL/TLS.
  13. Click OK.
    • AhsayOBM will test its access to the destination storage which is to your Seagate Lyve Cloud account.
  14. Then, click Next.
  15. Keep “OpenDirect” on default, then click Next to continue.
  16. Same goes for Encryption. Click Next.
  17. Make sure that you keep a copy of your encryption key before clicking Confirm.
  18. Now, you have successfully created your backup set, which means you can now start backing up your files to your Seagate Lyve Cloud account. Click Backup Now.
