Please use the following steps to backup Oracle Databases using AhsayOBM.

  1. Launch AhsayOBM.
  2. On the AhsayOBM login screen, enter your login credentials and click [OK] to continue.
  3. Click the Backup Sets tile.
  4. Click the + icon to create a new backup set.
  5. Enter the name of your new backup set then select Oracle Database Server Backup as the backup set type.
  6. Enter the Oracle Login ID and it's corresponding password.
  7. Enter the Oracle host address.
    The default host address is 127.0.0.1
  8. Enter the Oracle port number.
    The default port number is 1521
  9. Enter the SID. Click [Next] to proceed.
  10. Select the databases to back up. Click [Next] to continue.
    • To enable a full Oracle database recovery, all system databases including SYSAUX, SYSTEM, UNDOTBS1, UNDO, USERS, and all related application databases except for TEMP
    • If the TEMP database is selected in the backup source, AhsayOBM will automatically skip it during the backup job.
  11. Create an automatic backup schedule. Click the + icon to create either a Database or Archive Log backup schedule. Click [Next] to continue.
    Enable "Run Retention Policy after backup" when creating a backup schedule.
  12. Click the + icon to add a storage destination. Click [Next] to continue.
  13. Use the default setting for Encryption. Click [Next] to continue.
  14. Secure the encryption key and keep it in a safe place. Click [Confirm] to continue.
  15. Click [Backup] to start a backup job.
